Alekna beat Ståhl - but the Swede is focused for Stockholm

Just like in the previous competitions this year, Mykolas Alekna was better than Daniel Ståhl. However, Daniel does not seem too worried and is looking forward to the competitions in Stockholm.

The discus competition in Oslo brought together some of the best of all time. Daniel Ståhl, Mykolas Alekna and Kristjian Ceh, world champion and world record holder.

It was also the world record holder from Lithuania, Mykolas Alekna, who was the best today. With a throw of 70.91, he took home the victory in Diamond League competition. Second was the Australian Matthew Denny in 67.61 and third was Daniel Ståhl with 66.80.

Although Ståhl was once again beaten by the young Lithuanian, he was not particularly worried in the mixed zone.

- It was mostly upper body today, a lot of will and it was fun with a full Bislett. I feel like I'm on my way, now it's just a matter of competing in shape and I'll get my legs with me as well.

He will get a new chance already on Sunday when he comes to Stockholm Olympic Stadium for the BAUHAUS-gala. A place that is extra special for Daniel Ståhl as a football fan of the club Djurgården (home Stadium).

- It's home, that's how it is.

Mykolas Alekna will also come to the Stadium, after beating both Daniel Ståhl and Matthew Denny again, he feels that his confidence is increasing.

- It's fun to compete against those guys. It's good preparation for the Olympics and I'm happy that I won today.

Just like Ståhl and Denny, Alekna will come to the Stadium on Sunday. A competition he looks forward to.
