Henrik Larsson shows his progress on the sprint course. Last year he broke the Swedish record in both 60 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors. As a sprinter, he also shows that he has a good foundation and stands on the podium for many races in a short time as is the case in a championship. At the World Championship in Glasgow, trials, semi-finals and finals took place on the same day. It was a long day with great physical challenges to keep the body in shape to perform at maximum three times in the same day. Henrik proved to be well prepared and ran to fifth place in the final in 6.56, which is only 3 hundredths above his own Swedish record. 60-meter specialist Christian Coleman won just ahead of sprint star Noah Lyles, both from the United States. Worth noting is that Henrik was the fastest of all Europeans. Only one more European was in the final, the Italian Chituru Ali who finished last in the final. It will be interesting to follow Henrik's progress on the track when the outdoor season starts and hopefully this will give him a starting place at the Olympics in Paris. The Bauhaus gala is chasing him for a place in the 100 meters which is a Diamond League branch June 2 at the Stadium.
